For unknown reasons, the actor who had been playing the Chairman suddenly left the production
two weeks before the opening. Eddie, a dramatic actor coming directly
from closing one show,
on
top of rehearsals for another and working his day job, learned the role
in three days!
Opening
night, Vatican made a gift of an authentic British pound coin to Eddie as a memento for "Both
Sides of the Coin".
